The eIDAS Regulation describes an electronic signature as ‘any data in electronic form which is attached to or logically associated with other data in electronic form and which is used by the signatory to sign.’
In other words, an electronic signature is simply the electronic alternative to handwritten signatures (wet signatures) typically attached to an electronic document. These are often used to act as proof, or evidence on a document, similar to a wet signature but signed digitally instead of on a piece of paper. The process is roughly the same but is more secure, faster and usually more convenient for both the sender and recipient. (more)

Hi!
Signable currently has downloadable apps for iOS and Android. However, the iOS app is only available for iPad right now.
This said we expect the Signable app to be rolled out to more devices in the future.
It's also worth mentioning Signable documents can be signed on any device (including iPhone's).
Let us know if there's anything else we can help with. (more)

For an electronic agreement to be valid, the most important thing legally is that there is some recorded proof the document was signed. The signature itself is just a way of agreeing to the terms within that document. How this signature looks actually doesn’t matter.
Electronic signatures created for electronic documents do not need to match or even resemble wet, or handwritten signatures.
Signable securely record and trace a number of aspects throughout the signing process, to verify documents, validate their legality and keep everyone’s information secure. (more)
