What was the best part about using LiveEngage?

LivePerson is a live chat software which has a very fast user interface and has lots of functionality in your dashboard. The ability to use this software as a sales tool more than others with it's core functionality differentiate it from others so far during my research into several chat softwares. It's a very scalable platform solution so you can plan for the long term should it suit your business which is good. And it's mobile adaptive and responsive across operating systems for the large part so you have remote access to chat support which is awesome. I like that the customer has a choice as to how to get their support. It's a feature I have been glad to have been given a choice of in the past whichever makes you the most comfortable so that's cool. There is a VIP feature which would be very useful so that priority support can be given should it be required to those who have invested in your company the most, though I do like the idea of having enough support staff to provide superior service regardless of pay level, but that's just my essential nature as a person and only an opinion.

What would you change about your experience with LiveEngage?

It doesn't seem there many international currencies to choose from beyond the six or so in you account. This affect myself in Canada as well as those folks in most of the rest of the world as well. I don't like that it is a twelve month commitment it seems like this is not the ideal pricing model for a lot of small business who they obviously appear to target as customers. Though I can appreciate why they do this I wonder if they fully tested any other business models prior to this, as it is quite uncommon to have so much commitment up front nowadays for all but software with serious levels of onboarding implementation and deployment. There is a fifteen day money back guarantee so if you're fairly certain and move forward at least you have two full weeks to make it otherwise. I do find the dashboard and user interface a little bit busy considering it's not a full blown customer relationship management software or a lifecycle management software or an enterprise resource planning software. Though with the premium plan For a live chat software I get why it's a bit busier than others because it has additional modules which should help you convert prospects into customers, and I am quite confident you could get into quite a nice workflow with this after using it for long enough. I am currently going to keep considering my options for our start up though I do like a lot about this system. I think any chat software should have the ability to add images and screenshots to your chat really easily.

Overall Feedback

There's a free forever plan for a single user with full functionality in your account which is great. I really do appreciate their pricing model because it's completely inclusive with the same core features across all plans from free to premium and simply varies by number of users with one other exception. And I also do like the whole goal based chat idea as it helps make the most effective use of your support staff as sales reps. Though I believe by adding the customer relationship management software integration across all of their plans would help set them apart in a market full of stand alone live chat softwares. And keep the overall product line perhaps a bit more consistent in the fact that they sort of current hint at the full potential for use of this software as a direct sales tool with CRM integration only possible with the enterprise plan, so in that sense don't empower their customers who are entrepreneurs to utilize this monthly investment to help grow revenue directly by having a sales pipeline available to go with the sales based goal setting. That's exclusively for only the biggest, most worthy customers. If ya know what I mean.
