Presstimator

Presstimator is a software that is able to help do print estimating. Star Key software has made a simplistic user interface for Presstimator. Presstimator is a standalone software available for Windows and it can be installed quite easily. Presstimator helps in calculating costs and profit and it has a very good searching tool and a preview of the database.

Presstimator is not available on the cloud or as a SaaS and it is only available for Windows systems. The user interface is easy to use but it is bit dated and very simple. Presstimator could be a bit pricey for small businesses. Advanced features like QuickBook integration module, budgeted hourly rate module, Web Form importing and more are not directly available in the software and you need to pay separately for them.

Presstimator by Star Key is offered with a reasonable customer service. Presstimator reduces commercial work and help in making estimates and prepares quotes. Presstimator can be very effective and a good investment but it is bit priced high comparing other products with similar capabilities who are available on a cloud with a web-based interface.

I use Pressimator to estimate costs and do budgetary hourly rates. I pay my employees hourly and so the software is of much help to me. It generates quotes and reports as well. If a customer changes her mind about her order, the software make the necessary changes and gives anew estimate.

The reporting feature is a little bit complex. I urge the company to improve it and make it easy to use. I have contacted their customer care support team severally and they are always quick to answer. I have not come across any major problem so far. It’s that good and its quality id superb.

The software features are easy to navigate and use. It deals with many job formats like sheet, tab, flexi, book, standard, and double parallel. I like the fact that it breaks the cost to categories. It estimates materials needed and time required for a specific task. It saves me time.
