What was the best part about using Nutshell?
NutShell is a fast, robust customer relationship management software for organizing contacts and facilitating movement in your sales pipeline. It's got a lot of useful integrations possible from inside your dashboard such as Google Drive, Box, Yesware, MailChimp, Zendesk, Wufoo, Zapier, Dropbox, RightSignature, Microsoft Exchange and more which builds on the already powerful core functionality. It also syncs up with Zapier and unlike many other companies they have several pre-built Zapier apps ready to install which makes the best use of this tool already done for you which is a great time saver.
I like the reporting in your account with several views available all focusing on varied metrics and helping you to see progress over time which is useful and empowering. It makes you want to keep doing better and achieving more. It's a nice time saver being able to tag team members so they are notified of certain contacts or notes on file, so you're not distracted having to do this by use of email or text or instant messaging.
The scheduling functionality is cool too where by you can do so to create reminders for tasks leads, contacts or deals to follow up, for example. The user interface very easy to understand and begin using even though it may seem busy upon first glance. Everything is there for a reason and makes good use of the space available without being too overwhelming. The advanced workflow capability is solid and good to see included across paid plans. This isn't the case with other similar CRM's. The click to call feature is awesome and the mobile accessibility is good.
What would you change about your experience with Nutshell?
There seems to be extra clicks required to complete certain tasks which do not need to be the case. For example, when you've won a deal shouldn't it automatically select one hundred percent confidence for you? It just seems like an extra click and a redundancy but it's not a major issue. I wish it enabled drag and drop technology in the Leads tab. I like the CRM's which allow you to drag a contact into the next phase of your sales pipeline. It just feels productive and efficient and it takes less clicks too. A social media component and integrations are lacking. Twitter can be integrated but that's about it right now according to their website.
One feature missing across all CRM`s I`ve researched as a native component is the ability to utilize business intelligence in order to help fill out the prospect`s profile prior to first contacting them. It`s available as an add-on for some CRM`s like SalesForce and it`s available as a third party service but it seems like a natural fit for a CRM. I believe any company wanting to truly differentiate themselves in this competitive market would do well to include this in their CRM SAAS.
There are quite a few custom options available when managing your leads and it would be important to speak with your team and get on the same page about your systems. The overall flexibility is nice to have but does come with a time investment in order to become as efficient as possible.
Overall Feedback
Nutshell would be relatively easy for larger companies to adopt and begin using quickly. Whether it be individuals or sales teams it`s goal setting possibilities and reporting are the coolest I`ve seen in my research of my similar softwares. The extensions are very useful but don`t utilize sales in social media channels well with no Facebook or Linked available to learn about your contacts quickly, though the integration with Gmail and Outlook are excellent. You data is automatically imported into your account which makes setting up your sales pipeline very easy and a seamless process.
