It is so easy. People don't get into the flower business because they love technology or want to use computers and training can be an issue. But this software makes all those problems go away. This is especially helpful when we bring in temp workers at Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, etc. Order entry and customer history is really important too. When someone calls to order flowers we know who they are, how much they spend, who they send to, what those people like, what has been sent/received in the past, etc. It lets us provide better service in less time. Billing is also essential. We used to have to enter sales that were charged to account into a different invoicing program once a month. That meant it took much longer to get paid, and we were wasting time entering order information multiple times. Now we take the order and the invoice is sent out immediately by email or fax.

A better way to approach standing orders would be helpful. There is a way to do it now, but it could be a little easier. We've talked to them about it, the different ways to do it etc. They're interested in making this happen and promise us they are working on it.

FloristWare does a lot of thing you don't even realize you need until you have been using it for a while. One example is split tender payments, or taking multiple payments to cover a single sale. Very few POS systems for florists do this! You don't need it every day, but when you need it you REALLY need it. Another thing is having multiple orders in a single sale. Maybe somebody wants to send flowers to their mother, their mother-in-law and their wife on Mother's Day. Most systems for florists will not let you do that – they make you ring in three different sales and take three different payments, or set up an account then charge the three sales to account and then take payment on the account, etc. FloristWare just works the way it should – enter as many orders as you want in a single sale with a single receipt.
