What was the best part about using CheddrSuite?
Scheduling, messages, staff communication, getting rid of paper clutter, finances, calendar. Finally all in one software that allows me to leave the restaurant! My staff get text messages about shift changes, schedules or items that they need to complete. I looked back at how busy my restaurant was last President's day weekend and realized that I needed to put extra people on for the Sunday shift and we gave great service. We increase our total sales by 30% because we didn't have to turn customers away and I had enough staff that were able to give enough attention to the tables and up sell.
What would you change about your experience with CheddrSuite?
It took a little bit to get my staff use to using a new tool. Once they were all signed up and went through the short training and sign up period they were great. Most of the information is extracted from my POS but the staff has to get use to entering in notes from the shift to help explain the data. I put a post it on the POS where they clock in and out and it said have you Cheddr'd today. Since I did that we have not missed a log which I love!
Overall Feedback
It is difficult to run a restaurant. It always feels a bit chaotic. This tool helped to eliminate a lot of different companies, paper work, emails and post it notes. When I go home I can log in and see if we need inventory, are we making money, is the schedule done, did anyone switch shifts, is there any broken items or to do projects, how did we do with customer service. I love all the freedom I have and how connected my team is. Not to mention how much more money I am making now with inventory accuracy, scheduling , and menu pricing.
