What was the best part about using BackChart - Chiropractic EHR?
You could access it on any computer, no software had to be downloaded to use it.
Overall though I would not recommend this company to anyone. While the program itself is mediocre, the company is atrocious. The customer service isnt there and the owner, Leo Bronston is a hot-headed piece of work.
What would you change about your experience with BackChart - Chiropractic EHR?
I had a 1 year free trial. My trial ended in July, 2015.
I never heard from the company to find out if I wanted to continue and my account was never shut off.
On November 4th, 2015 I got an email stating that they did not have any payment information on file for me. I got a second email less than 24 hours later demanding that I call them immediately with no other explanation. I called the number provided and spoke to Leo Bronston, the owner (CEO perhaps?) of Backchart. He proceeded to yell at me demanding that I pay him money for the previous months and shouting at me for not wanting to continue with Backchart. Leo said that I owed him money and that he was going to lock me out of my account, basically holding my patient records hostage, until I paid him. I told him that a rep should have contacted me prior to my account running out or he could have just shut my account off. But I had already purchased a different EHR and so I had no intention of continuing with Backchart. I told him that I was fine with him shutting off my account after I downloaded all of my records, but that I would not be paying him for the past 4 months since his company should have been more on top of things and contacted me back in July.
Two weeks after this exchange, on November 18th, 2015, my credit card started getting charged 189$/month. This is the credit card that they claimed to not have had on file at all. I caught the charges 5 months later when I was going through and itemizing everything for my taxes. I never received a bill or an invoice declaring these charges, I also never signed anything or agreed to anything stating that they could charge my credit card monthly.
After I contacted them it took 3 weeks for them to respond to calls, messages, or emails. Backchart is refusing to refund the money. They are also refusing to acknowledge any wrong doing.
Overall Feedback
I would never recommend Backchart to anyone. The company is underhanded and has the absolute worst customer service. Leo knew full well and good that I did not want his service and that I wanted him to close my account before he started charging my credit card monthly. He never sent a notice, an invoice, or a bill. He charged a credit card that he claimed via email and over the phone that he did not have on file to begin with.
You cannot trust him or his company.
