The School Volunteer Competitors

The School Volunteer (TSV), designed by school volunteer coordinators to meet the specialized needs of just schools, includes volunteer registration, background check certification, committee/event sign-up, committee Chair nomination, committee roster email, volunteer reminders, calendar synchronization (Outlook / i-Cal), tools for Chairs, and reports generation, Volunteers can track their pledged and worked hours. Administrators can track family-specific and committee-specific hours.


TSV supports committee add-ons such as (1) Schedule - for weekly recurring shifts such as in a bookstore; (2) Things Needed - for events such as a teacher appreciation luncheon; (3) Skills Needed - for events having special needs such as a photographer; (4) Concessions - for intermittent shifts such as in a snack bar for sporting events..


User groups include volunteer, Chair, and Administrator. Each user group has its own responsibilities so one person does not become overwhelmed with doing everything for everybody. For example, volunteers are responsible for maintaining their contact information and for signing-up for committees/events. Chairs are responsible for configuring the details of their own committees and drafting volunteers onto committees if needed. Administrators are responsible for enabling/disabling user privileges such as access to email or getting reports.


TSV supports access from smartphones, tablet computers, laptop computers, and desktop computers. Volunteers can sign-up at home or on the road at any time all year long.
