What was the best part about using SurveyMonkey?
SurveyMonkey is probably one of the most hyped and best marketed survey programs out there but it does not necessarily mean it is the best. Quite frankly, SurveyMonkey has a long way to go. As it's name refers, the software can actually cause you a slight "monkey see, monkey do" feel. However, I must say SurveyMonkey is actually surprisingly easy to set up and customization is easy - even though at times very slow. If you need to collect a lot of data and collect it socially, then SurveyMonkey is really a way to go - there are few programs that can compete with SurveyMonkey's efficiency when it comes to email distribution.
What would you change about your experience with SurveyMonkey?
As easy as SurveyMonkey might be, it does not hide the fact the free plan of SurveyMonkey is almost useless. If you need a very plain survey with at least 100 responses, then why not - it might be your solution. However, I find it incredibly useless and limiting to have a software that limits your survey with not only the amount of questions you can enter (which is 10 on free plan) but also the amount of responses you can have. With free plan there's is almost nothing you can customize. At the same time, paying $400 per year for all the features is almost insane. Considering the price and quality ratio, you are quite likely of finding a much more efficient software for surveys than this one.
Overall Feedback
For me personally, SurveyMonkey is the program to go for when I don't need to send out a professional survey, hoping for deep impact from responses. It is your average-joe survey program that on a free basis does it's main task. However, you should not set your hopes high and expect this program to provide you much variety or functionality - unless you purchase gold plan, this program is good for simple surveys that don't have high expectations.
