The Synchronous technology is especially powerful and would take an investment in time to learn but could drastically increase the overall workflow of your project for your entire team actually because it connects absolutely everyone involved in the project without limiting anyone including the non-coding less technical folks involved per project. You can use data from different CAD systems and you're not limited to the history free modeling and constraint driven lifecycles so that's outstanding. It's easy to turn 3D models into 2D after they are completed as well which you can do easily with a few clicks. The isometric view is cool too, so you're always in a good position to know what's actually being built. The KeyShot integration is a cool feature to which allows you to import and render over twenty various file types using drag and drop technology and presets to transform objects into area light, point light and light profiles very quickly. The 2D version is 100% free which is cool compared to the $1000+ for the Adobe version of their 2D CAD software so I can appreciate that. As far as 3D goes it's a very capable software with loads of features available to use in a downloadable or online based version. The software self is available to download a free fully functional trial which you can use for up to twenty hours before you have to upgrade. The pricing is available with a monthly and annual subscription options and if you can afford it they are very comprehensive packages with a large return on investment possible as a professional. There are a good amount of tutorials and learning resources to help get you on your way. I like the option to select your learning level when installing their software as it completely tailors your experience to help you make the most out of your trial. The fully assisted installation includes highly detailed learning materials integrated right into your dashboard so despite there being a lot of functionality if you're new to CAD, you're not alone because it's all explained as you discover your account and all of the features inside of it.

It's certainly not a hobbyist software but it would be cool if they had a cost effective version for those of use who want to learn CAD over the long term because it's not my primary career and the monthly subscriptions starting at $140 CAD per month to $600 is far too steep to use Solid Edge for casual purposes in my opinion and I found it to be relatively simple to use. Though it's not the simplest to use so far as I've been doing research into several CAD programs including AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, Rhinoceros, Inventor, SketchUp and AutoDesk. I found SketchUp to be the most intuitive. But find Solid Edge has the best natively integrated educational component which enables me to actually learn the terminology and make basic connections based on my limited knowledge and learn easier without having to reference the documentation, or a third party learning source just to learn what a button does in detail.

Solid Edge is a solid computer assisted design software which helps you build parts and assemblies in two or three dimensions. The software Solid Edge has the best integrated educational learning materials natively integrated into your account dashboard that I have found during my research. I set up my trial to be this way and you can certainly disable the help assistance, but for me, it's a thing of beauty which contained the functional information so convenient it made me happy. It's almost everything you need as an introduction to this software in order to learn icons and connected operations, as the detailed notes are very helpful.
