How long, on average, would you say it takes a business to set up SmarterMail?

It depends on what you mean by "set up".
Installation takes a few minutes, and that includes our installer automatically creating an app pool and website in IIS for the web interface.
Then it's a matter of setting up domains and users. That, of course, can take time depending on the number of domains and users you have to set up. I've not timed it, but you could probably add a domain, and 10 users, in about 10 - 15 minutes. Then it will get faster as you get used to the interface, learn how to use domain and user propagation, etc. If you're importing users from another service, that can take time depending, again, on the number of users, your connection speed, etc. (more)
