Yes, you’ve heard it, Sisense is pretty much good when it comes to processing large amounts of data, ease of transferring data sets because of its superb chip-in technology. Using columnar database approach against rows, it is easier to for the the SiSense system to pull big requests. Further, it’s SiSense’ Elasticube allows user to take data snapshots to comply with analysis requirements. It also has an on-premise option that is available for customers and a web-based in case you want it to host in a private cloud.

Though users are allowed to take snapshots using elasticube, it is not user-friendly at all. It requires a lot of technical experience and must write the SQL to build it. Once concern also is that the Dashboard only interacts on the web and does not offer powerful scheduled reports. When it comes to price, it’s a bit high.

If your company wants to do big data analysis, be prepared to either assign internal technical resources or hire technical resources to spend time setting up Sisense’s Elasticube because it needs a technical expertise to do the job. Also, when you’re using it now, separate elasticubes based on computing complexity, data complexity and time frequency requirements and only schedule email reports if you really need them.
