What was the best part about using SalesLoft?
SalesLoft is a suite of prospecting tools which utilize email marketing and telephone softwares to reach out, track communication between sales reps and prospects in a single dashboard. All together it's a very powerful system for generating leads and I like the feature set and value provided a lot.
Pricing starts with a free trial with no credit card required. Into paid monthly plans starting at $75 per month, per user billed annually. Plans range are $75 per month, $100 and $125 per month. And features range accordingly to your plan of choice. The Group plan includes Cadence Scheduling, Email Marketing, Integrated Dialer and integration with SalesForce. The Professional plan includes all Group features along with Automatic timezone detector, custom field capabilities, voicemail drops and SalesForce field mapping. The Enterprise plan includes both Group and Professional features and in addition their LocalDial feature, Advanced Reporting, Custom Privacy settings and Group Level Permissions.
SalesLoft creates a workflow for tracking communication for both phone and email prospecting activities while you can utilize a phone dialer to automatically make calls from your list. Filter your lists by activities engaged, starred categories and by timezone. Timezone intelligence will ensure you reach out to prospect when it's best for them during business hours. How cool is that?
Utilize a function called LocalDial to reach out to prospects with a local phone number matching their area code. Utilize pre-recorded voice mails which can be triggered so you can move on to other calls saving time. That's a huge benefit to sales reps. The software will also automatically log, record, capture and sync phone calls within SalesForce directly.
Call recording is a powerful feature to help reps and management learn how to improve how to deal with objections, better pitches and greetings. I can't say enough about how powerful this feature is for developing effective sales reps and best practices.
Easily develop a workflow that includes email marketing by utilizing email templates with detailed tracking reports to improve email campaigns. Connect to your own mail server, Gmail or Exchange. Prospects are immediately removed from the follow up email series after they reply.
Utilize grouped, personalized email marketing campaigns with custom fields and dynamic tagging. Importing or exporting prospects to and from Google spreadsheets, Excel and other CRM's easily done too.
SalesLoft has a lot going for it. I wish I had this technology when I was doing cold calling. Especially with the built in email marketing in addition to the dialer. It's a great tool for organizing groups and tracking follow ups. The email reporting is good to with the ability to see email views and click through rates is nice. It's simple to use email templates and import leads via CSV file. The ability to send mass, personalized emails with a follow up series and automatic removal of those who reply is awesome.
What would you change about your experience with SalesLoft?
The metrics in the reporting could be extended further. I haven't synced with SalesForce but I've read the updates don't always occur from Cadence into SalesForce. The email limit could be moved up though I respect the reasoning. I understand the Prospector tool isn't always accurate when providing information but I didn't dive deep enough into this tool to say so for certain by my experience.
Overall Feedback
I would definitely give SalesLoft a go should I need to utilize a phone dialer again in the future. I'm glad to have found a resource that combines email with their great features in addition to a predictive dialing system. It would be easy to greatly improve efficiency with use of these systems. It would be nice that you could compare what is working between sales reps as well with their call recording and improve sales across the team that way.
I can see SalesLoft being a huge time saver which increases team efficiency and conversion rates while allowing for focusing time and budget into other areas of my business. Or recruiting more sales reps. It's a bit pricey considering you have to pay annually. So any downtime in between sales reps to fill all the users in the account is going to cost you. Overall though I recommend SalesLoft as you could definitely increase team efficiency and sales conversions using there tools.
