What was the best part about using Salesforce Wave Analytics?
It is a cloud-based BI platform, it's strong and with a high level of security. Logically, it is integrated with Salesforce, which makes it robust and enables a high-speed search through a large amount of data. That being said, Wave is very scalable, there are almost no limits for lot of data it can handle.
What would you change about your experience with Salesforce Wave Analytics?
Salesforce Wave uses SAQL, which means that either you will have to learn a new language or you will have to hire someone experienced. Also, if you are not already a user of the Salesforce platform, it will be time-consuming to get your data into the cloud. One more setback is the price. Based on its cost, Wave is clearly targeting only big companies with big budgets.
Salesforce Wave Analytics is secure, strong, cloud-based analytics program. With the help of Wave, you or developers in your team will be able to implement fast, interactive exploration of the data. It offers you a powerful visual feature and it is specially optimized for mobile devices. You will also be able to seamlessly transfer the data from any source because Wave is integrated to its native Salesforce platform. Security is very important for any cloud-based platform, and Wave offers role-based user controls to provide your companies' data with the highest level of security. On the bad side, it requires the knowledge of SAQL and it is not cost-friendly for small to mid-size businesses. My recommendation is to apply for a free trial, to check if the benefits for your company will justify the price.
