When I have an emergency, I do not appreciate getting voicemail.

We never found out. It seemed like it could be a decent system but our PTO never worked and timesheets were very glitch and hard for supervisors to fix.

Customer support was terrible. Our support contact seemed to lack basic knowledge of the system and couldn't answer my questions. Reports are difficult to figure out.

If there were no problems we could do OK, but couldn't ever get problems resolved. Our PTO never did work correctly so I had to keep a separate spreadsheet which was a pain and they couldn't tell me what was wrong. Our import of time and attendance never worked properly and they finally just gave up on me. Once we quit, they paid taxes that I asked them not to resulting in an overpayment. I was told they are so big "not even all in one building" so the process takes weeks to shut down our company and we get billed $50 for every unprocessed payroll. We definitely made the right decision to quit.

The employees are very polite and their prices are very low (you certainly get what you pay for though).

We switched to Paylocity a couple months and its been nothing short of a NIGHTMARE! Here is a list of problems we encountered... 1. I sent Shelly (the lady setting up our account at Paylocity) all the information she requested, neatly organized and easy to read in an email. However, she entered in one of our employee's bank account number wrong so he did not get paid. Meanwhile, its a Friday and the funds that they took from our bank were in limbo somewhere between Paylocity and US Bank, and our employee is told he will not see those funds for another 4-7 days. This does not work for us or our employee and Paylocity refuses to front the money for this mishap so we had to issue our employee a manual check and wait the 4 days until Paylocity credits his payroll back to our account (for a small business this was a miracle that we could find the money to do this and it took hours on a Friday afternoon trying to find the funds so our employee wouldn't have to go the weekend w/o money). 2. Shelly entered our payroll frequency as semi-monthly instead of monthly, this made Paylocity miscalculate the amount of taxes to take from each employees' paychecks (all of us got shorted on our payroll). Of course Paylocity couldn't just give us the money back, it was supposed to take another 10 days before we saw this money but our employees needed the rest of their paychecks ASAP and AGAIN Paylocity was not willing to front the money for their mistake so we scrambled at the last minute to figure out how we can pay our employees the rest of their paychecks while Paylocity holds on to our cash! The 10 day period we were promised to see this money returned to us turned into 6 weeks (we STILL have not seen the $1300 Paylocity owes us!) 3. During all of this mix up, they had the nerve to bill us a second time for the processing of the additional payroll deposits (which was their mistake in the first place). When I called they promised us a refund right away, within 1-2 days. Of course I kept calling and told them we didn't see the refund and they kept assuring em it was coming. This turned into another 4 weeks before we actually saw the refund. 4. Shelly did not take out the Denver Occupational Privilege Tax from the employee's paycheck, so of course this was another thing to rectify during the chaos. They fixed this. 5. During the set up process, Shelly mixed up one of our employee's information with another one of our employee's. This is not a huge deal, I ddi actually catch it and change it in the system. 6. Shelly did not enter in the health insurance deductions from our employee's paycheck. Good thing I caught this before it was an issue. 7. Shelly had lots of typos in our company information page. Not a big deal, but her lack of attention to detail makes me wonder how she graduation high school. 8. We had given one of our employees an advance (manual check) before our first payroll was processed with Paylocity. Shelly entered this into the system wrong and actually sent him ANOTHER check from on our behalf! I shredded it! 9. Multiple times during our second payroll processing I asked her how much money was going to come out of our account and repeatedly she gave me the wrong amount and couldn't justify how she got to that number. 10. We just received a letter from the city for a delinquent filing for OPT taxes for a month that Paylocity processed our payroll. I sent it to Paylocity and 3 weeks later they reject responsibility. Their tax department does not understand Denver OPT taxes at all!! We recently moved to a new payroll processing company who has a Denver OPT tax specialist and agrees that Paylocity processed these taxes incorrectly and are liable. I plan on reporting Paylocity for this one! Don't waste your time with Paylocity, they have cost us more time, money, and resources than we have capacity for and we're not completely out of the woods yet. We have switched to a company named Paycom. They have been fantastic!! We love them so far!

Don't waste your time. They messed everything up from an employee not getting paid, our tax frequency (everyone got paid the wrong amount), our OPT taxes which incurred late fees and interest that they refused to be responsible for), employee demographics, health insurance deductions, and multiple accidental billings.

Payroll is very simplistic and streamlined from time and attendance to creating a payroll register.

The soft ware associated with the recruiting, e-verify, and on-boarding modules do not always work because of glitches.

Knowing then what I know now I would not have selected Paylocity for my HRIS. I am completely dissatisfied with what they have to offer. FYI- the excellent payroll system doesn't make up for all of the bad experiences associated with the rest of the platform.

Sadly Paylocity is no different than any other software when it comes to the flaws. They do not provide correspondence among BSwift, peerless and WebPay which is much needed. There must be a revision in the framework of time check in and out. They also don't offer an option to import data rather the user has to enter all the data manually which is very time consuming and exerting. And what I am always looking forward while going for a new software is a free trial version that was obviously missing with this software and I had to directly purchase the pro version.

I am really glad about the quality of services provided by this tool even after sales. There was not even a single thing which I was promised while purchasing it and later on not available. Every feature and facility mentioned in the purchasing manual are present in this software. The developers even keep on upgrading this tool very frequently thus solving any issues if present. Also, the customer support is responsive and available at any hour of the day. Must go for it if you are searching for one at the low price.

With Paylocity, you have a very decent tool for almost every type of organization that has the difficulty of managing each employee's base and each client via a piece of software. I haven't had the chance to use Paylocity for thorough testing, but what I can say is that I'm very satisfied with their services. If you want an easy-to-use, adaptable and above all, a decent piece of software for the HR department, then Paylocity is definitely meant for you and your business!

Other than the user interface, which does need a new look, I have to say that Paylocity's not that bad. Everything worked fine, and even though I haven't used it much, I'd like to recommend it. A great thing is that I haven't even stumbled across bugs that I could mention here, so all in all, you have a very decent platform here. I really appreciate their work and I honestly think this piece of software is decent. But trust me, it's just not attractive.

I can honestly say that Paylocity offers quite a powerful piece of software that is very good for manipulating with the HR department. I saw what they have in offer, but although I haven't had the chance to test everything there is, I can still say that their services are absolutely satisfactory, and I can't complain about much - other than that user interface, which I didn't mind that much.
