What was the best part about using OptiMonk?
This software focused on onsite retargeting and is used by some recognizable brands so am considering it for our ecommerce based start up. They provide you a dozen or so premade templates each with varied purposes which you can select and then edit the content to suit your brand as well as what happens when a user clicks your call to action. You can select your display effect, overlay appearance, color and opacity easily. As well as your overall color scheme using preset themes or a CSS and JS editor for complete customization. And you can adjust your thank you page much the same way very easily. There are nearly twenty settings which you can use to optimize your onsite pop up such as how many times it appears per visitor, how long they have been on the page before it appears, the URL source of the visitor, visitors browsing certain pages, specific countries, whether or not they have seen campaigns previously along with a few more advanced settings. You can then choose to store this prospect data internally or export it to one of over twenty integrations they currently including many top marketing software as services like MailChimp, Aweber, CampaignMonitor, iContact, HupSpot, InfusionSoft, GetResponse and more. It is possible to integrate Google Analytics which is important to note as well.
What would you change about your experience with OptiMonk?
The recurring pricing is my only issue with this software as a service. Not that it's not worth it but that I believe there are one time software purchases available for this type of exit pop software with very similar features. Though their support may not be on par with this company and if you have a high volume of traffic and want to ensure reliability this would be a great choice.
Overall Feedback
There is a very solid case study available regarding one of the top online marketers using this software which makes a great case for it. I like that the pricing includes all features across all of their plans, differing rather by the amount of visitors and number of websites you can have running for your campaigns. It also integrates with all major content management systems and ecommerce platforms as well such as Wordpress, Shopify, Volusion, Magento and others. Based on what this software does well and the case study available to help validate its use and a return on investment it's certainly a solid, proven option for increasing engagement and sales conversions from your website.
