Microsoft Live

Microsoft Live is convenient in that it allows you to login to all of your accounts from one central portal. I've been a paid subscriber to Office 365 for over nearly two years, I believe. I used to use OpenOffice in order to have a more cost efficient option however after writing a document and then saving it as a .doc file. I always found there to be formatting errors when opening it as a Windows document. This happened enough times that I just accepted it would be less hassle to pay up for the use of all of their Office software tools. And I haven't regretted it at all. I am glad to be able to open up Excel spreadsheets and Word documents quickly and easily. To share them and save them from any device. And to have Skype integrated with their tools. They are the industry standard so this just makes sense in my book.

The company has gone through some branding changes over the years and it can be confusing if you're not on top of them. For example, it took me to realize that Microsoft Live was simply the old name for their single login to access all of their tools from a central location such as Outlook, Office 365, OneDrive, Skype and so on. While there is Xbox live and reference to live email when you do a search for this as well.

This company is a household name for good reason. They provide value in their hardware and software that helps make our lives easier. And compared to the reputation they used to have, they have come a long ways in terms of increasing quality and the perception of their quality across the board. I use their tools every single day and highly recommend all of their services.
