What was the best part about using McAfee Endpoint Protection Advanced for SMB?
McAfee is extremely easy software to obtain as it comes for free with many apps and that is also how I stumbled upon it. It provides a good-enough security and protection against most common threats and is mainly focused on web-security. Also, you can add restrictions, prevent exploits etc. As I am rather lazy with finding a decently working security program for enhancing web browsing security, I have stuck with McAfee – it does it’s job well and I don’t see any need to exchange it for something else.
What would you change about your experience with McAfee Endpoint Protection Advanced for SMB?
For me, when it comes to the system itself, I’d say it’s a bit annoying. It pops out on the most inconvinient moment possible and when it does, my computer goes into sloth-speed. It honestly eats a lot of RAM! I’ve found this to be a rather annoying issue as I work with resource-demanding design programs every day and I really don’t need a web security program to get on my nerves (and getting my computer crashing). Fortunately, it doesn’t happen that often!
Overall Feedback
Overall, McAfee is a decent program. As any other web security solution, it doesn’t provide anything different and I wouldn’t say it brings anything innovative to the table, but it is easy to use, you will most likely stumble upon it anyways at some point (honestly, I don’t even remember where I got it, it just happened to find its way to me!) and once you have it, well – there’s is not much reason to change it for something else either. Functions, does it’s job as it’s supposed to and that’s all you would need from a program like this!
