The basics of Kronos are simple and effective, making it a good tool for time management and schedule implementation. It is a good tool for creating schedules; with all the required information having been submitted it can consistently produce a reliable schedule. It's also intuitive and can anticipate what you are punching in or out for (to start your shift, to come back from a lunch break, etc.) and even if it didn't, the simple userface for punch in and out was very user friendly.

Kronos takes over the computer and does not allow other programs to run while it is going forcing users to log out of any other programs in use if an employee needs to punch in or out. This is extremely ineffective, not to mention frustrating, if there is only one computer in the organization as users will have to save and close whatever they're doing in another program to allow someone to simply punch out.

As stated before, the basics are good, but there are big problems with this software and the way it runs which stops it from being a first choice. To use it on a computer used purely for scheduling and punching in and out would be a better option, but most organizations don't have one computer per business function and this is therefore not very reasonable. If they can improve the software and its ability to function alongside other systems, I think it would be a huge step up.
