HootSuite

Hootsuite has been a godsend for me. I've been making music for a long time and it can be hard to get my fans on the same page with my touring schedule and new music. Having to remember to post in a million places was the bane of my existence until I found this software. It's made my life a lot easier since I can post about my new works from a single place; I use a chromebook on the go and I find Hootsuite easy to use on it. I don't have to worry about logging into account A, B, C, and D just to post that I am meeting up with my fans at a coffee shop or showing up at a venue unannounced. It keeps things nice and organic.

Really, the only complaint I can make about it is that it would be nice to get a bit more in the plans. I've paid annually and its nice having the paid features, but I am afraid of doing too much on social media out of fear of the limit that there is on the number of accounts. I've thought about doing side projects, but I wouldn't be able to use my paid account if I were to do this; a lot of musicians like to use aliases which separate their main work from their side projects, but it would be hard to build a social media following if I were to do that.

It would be nice to do some customization with their interface. My designer and I like to make sure our social media is unique to how I present myself and my music; if we could change the interface to click with our aesthetics it would be nice. It doesn't really affect how things function, but I even have my own custom chrome theme and my laptop is decorated; I would like to keep things nice and consistent in visuals. It just makes things nice and easy on the eyes and keeps me focused on my music.
