The ability I enjoy most is that HootSuite allows me to schedule my posts on every social media platform ahead of time. The Analytics provided are also great, this option has been much improved lately, so now you can easily get a clear view of your overall social performance and its impact on your audience. The mobile app is very functional and helps a lot when on the go.

As to the software's flaws, I can name that there are such a variety of features provided by the HootSuite team, that it's easy to get completely lost among them. You will probably need to allocate some of your time to learn how to use the software as I'm afraid, it's not very user-friendly or self-explaining.

Using HootSuite, you get the capability to bring control to your overall performance on the main social media platforms, like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc, all these from one single dashboard. The product allows you to schedule your posts, something that can save you much time, and collaborate easily with your colleagues in case of teamwork. The price for the software is, unfortunately, a bit steep. I'm sure that if HootSuite were somewhat cheaper, it would easily attract a huge amount of new customers. Anyway, there is an opportunity to try HootSuite for free for individuals, so it's a good idea to try it first and decide for yourself if you eventually need a paid account for your company.
