You must have at least two years of experience in web development, backend programming, database design, and you must have experience with the Drupal Content Management System (CMS), including experience and knowledge in using APIs for e-commerce utilization. In addition, the ideal person will have 2+ years of experience in PHP, MySQL, XHTML, JS, CSS, jQuery and AJAX. Furthermore, you are resourceful, have an eye for detail, are reliable, excellent ability to multitask, manage, prioritize and complete multiple projects while adhering to deadlines as required.

Must Have Requirements:

You must have your own equipment, work on your own time (within project deadlines), and work at your own location with your own internet connection and you must live in the lower mainland of Metro Vancouver, BC, Canada. If you do not live not in the lower mainland of Metro Vancouver, BC, Canada, do not bother applying for this position as some face-to-face meetings and client meetings are necessary depending upon the project.

Ideally you are excited about your work and would prefer to have contract work for the long-term. You must agree that you will be working on a contract basis and not an employee position. If you are the right person, an extended benefits package may be offered after a probationary period of 3 months.

Skills Required:

• Must have Drupal CMS experience
• PHP/MySQL and MySQL database experience -- 2+ years
• HTML/XHTML, table-less coding in CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, Ajax libraries and
functions
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in computer science, software engineering, web programming
or equivalency with a minimum of 2+ years' experience in web development
• Strong Quality Assurance skills -- able to review work and thoroughly test out the project to
ensure all features are effectively working
• Must provide along with your resume a list of at least 3 links (more is better) to websites that
were involved with and explain what your roles were and for how long you were involved in
each specific project
• List any PHP frameworks that you have experience using and how many years of experience
• List other CMS systems you have acquired experienced with, the number of years, links to these
websites, and outline your role in the projects (i.e., what you did)

Types of projects the Drupal Web Developer will be involved in:

• Setting up websites using HTML 5 and CSS 3 and MySQL databases
• Theming Templates and Custom GUIs into Drupal 7 and 8, depending on the complexity of the
project
• Integrating feeds from social networks
• Developing custom blogs
• Setting up and integrating with ecommerce and other 3rd party APIs
• Setting up shopping carts using Ubercart and other 3rd party applications
• Developing Responsive Web Designs (RWD)
