What was the best part about using DonorPerfect?

DPO is always growing and changing and getting easier to use—and this is a HUGE asset is a donor management software. Their support is excellent; I've never had to wait more than a minutes on the phone to talk to a real person. They are constantly rolling out updates and improvements, as well as offering Beta experiences for new features. Although the company is halfway across the country, I've had the opportunity to talk and/or email with several of the key players at SofterWare when I have a complaint or concern or question about the future of the service. Overall, the company is extremely accessible and helpful.

What would you change about your experience with DonorPerfect?

DPO does have its quirks. It can be complicated to maintain, especially if you don't know your way around the system. As the DPO expert in the office, I have to carry out most tasks in DPO that go anywhere beyond the basics. A lot of things aren't self explanatory, and there are lots of "workarounds" I have had to learn to make the system work.

Overall Feedback

Having worked daily with DPO for over a year and half, I can say that overall I am really pleased with the software and absolutely recommend it to other small nonprofits looking for a CRM database. For the price, the features and support are A+. The database is not perfect, but with every update the system gets easier and more intuitive to use. I would highly recommend!
