Databuild Estimating Software

Databuild is a good sound program with many features & is commonly used in Australian residential building.

Databuild has a large array of options & can be setup in many different ways. It could be a very powerful piece of software. Unfortunately there are a multitude of sectors within Databuild that do not work/function properly & thus most people cannot utilise Databuild to it maximum potential. Quite often these issues are pointed out/notification is given to Databuild but nothing is ever done to resolve the issue. More often than not new versions are bought out to resolve issues or problems only to have new issues or glitches introduced. It is very frustrating.

I've been using Databuild since 2005. It could be such a great piece of software if everything worked. Unfortunately I would suggest that the program is very old & has been band-aided too many times for many of the functions to ever be repaired. When calling the help line quite often the call centre staff have had no real world experiences with the program. It's just a real disappointment & worst of all once you've put the time & effort into setting it up properly it's very hard to walk away especially if you're also utilising other programs that integrate with Databuild.
