Everything needed to install the system, including SQLServer Express, is on the installation CD. Installing CMX components takes about 5 minutes, if using a corporate SQLServer or Oracle license. If SQLServer Express must also installed, it could take up to 30 additional minutes. Time for building the database involves a number of variables, such as number of instruments and the number of different instrument types. If detailed instrument and calibration procedure data exists in electronic format, Beamex can support migrating this data into a CMX database automatically. Otherwise, paper-based data must be converted to electronic format either by entering data into a pre-formatted structure for migration to CMX, or alternatively utilize pre-defined templates and set-up wizards to quickly and efficiently build the calibration database natively in the CMX application.

Beamex will support optimizing and implementing the system into existing processes, or developing the calibration program if no firm calibration program currently exists. Integrating the calibration database with third-party enterprise systems (asset management, maintenance, control systems, etc.) is supported by Beamex as well as developing a deployment strategy. Ultimately, the time required to set up CMX calibration management software can be as little as 5 minutes and depends on the goal and objectives of the project; what is the scope? Depending on customer resource availability, Beamex can provide as little or as much implementation assistance as needed.
