AutoCAD Architecture

AutoCAD Architecture is their computer assisted design software for architectural design. I'm still learning but testing several CAD software and can offer value in my opinion based on which is best for designing a custom home in particular. You can use this version to create schedules, docs and drawings and utilize automation to speed up your productivity and decrease human error. Since 2013 Adobe has used a cloud based subscription so you must subscribe to this monthly cost in order to use this software but you get the latest version and all of the latest updates along with customer support including better support in their forum. Though you can trial it out for thirty days with no credit card required too and just see if it's for you, or not. The reno tools are particularly powerful and increase your productivity in terms of making production or design changes in a visual way whether its to new or old building or even demolished building. And you can preview styles before using them so you can setup your windows, doors and windows for example before applying them to your project. All of your main components are really accurate in terms of construction and how each behaves in the practical, real world. The ability to modify conditions in a number of ways makes it easier to manage walls, doors and windows for example using corners or angles and intersecting walls which have a particular fire rating. It's great because when you move one element around each the interconnected components update as well automatically. Another cool feature I like is how you can create a full color visual of your project pretty much at any stage. Which is great if you're showing clients but I like the idea of this keeping me focused on the goal at hand which is to complete this one design. My future home. There's always a good amount of help available with Adobe software. I've used their help online several hundred times and find it the best way usually to get what information I need. Otherwise, though there are a large forum and community and you have their support once you're in as a paid subscriber so that's good. I always find a lot of help by doing a Google Image search for keyboard shortcuts related to any new software I'm using. Of you can see these in your preferences but it's great to have them all in one graphic it helps a lot. There's always a lot of other tricks and tips available for Adobe's software if you search Youtube and Google as well.

The subscription model is at once more expensive in the long run yet it is a practical way to get going with it quickly. If you have a team it's going to be a significance investment each month with multiple users. But the return can be great should you put it to consistent use. There is a ton of features available in AutoCAD software products and this one is no exception. The amount of configuration and customization possible are tremendous which is great but there is certainly a learning curve with it. Which is great because the boundaries are virtually unlimited once you're proficient with the software but there's a journey involved in getting there which is fine by me. I find nice satisfaction when reaching new levels of efficiency and understanding with software that impact my life in a positive way.

This software has a few performance issues running on a laptop with i5 Core CPU and 4GB of ram. It's okay but you certainly shouldn't have multiple applications running on such a machine. Other than that, this software facilitated my creativity as much as any computer assisted design software I've tried recently including Inventor, SketchUp, AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Rhinoceros and AutoDesk. To be honest, I find the other AutoCAD software to be less user friendly particularly if you were a new Adobe product user. SketchUp was my favorite but it's $695 per license which is still very good but for the casual user who wants to create a dream home over the next couple of years I'm glad to know how intuitive I find AutoCAD Architecture to be because at the monthly price point it's practical and manageable in my particular instance.
