It’s a cloud based application and one can access its data anywhere he wants. They just need a trusted internet connection to connect with to use the application. Furthermore, the software has a free mobile app in one of the packages so you can take the software on the go. It includes all the features like Account Receivable, Account Payable, General Ledger, Banking etc. It manages all accounts inside one module, the chart of account and it includes default chart of accounts whether a business can use these or can create own Chart of Accounts when it requires. It secures important business data. It has the ability of Company Data Auditor which backs up and verifies the business files, allow user to lock-down reconciled financial data, record an audit trail, and run reviews just to ensure that all data are in balance. Banking module auto reconciles the cash balance with bank statement. Payroll Module can also be catered to the maximum extent. Open and Close Purchase orders can be tracked easily. AccountEdge Pro also offers some new features to small business users such as multiple currency support and multiple-warehouse inventory support.

Main drawback of Account Edge is limited number of users. When the company expands its business, number of users also increases; Account Edge does not cater the large number of users. To cater with this issue a business have to look for some other accounting software which gives a best solution for the Business. Other drawback of this is the cost of users. It has two packages Basic and Pro and both provides the limited number of users and functions. The User’s interface works well but is not pleasing to the eyes. The Mac Version of the AccountEdge needs to be improved as it doesn’t support all the features that windows offer.

Account Edge is best accounting software for the small business, which doesn’t have more than 10 users. It includes all the functions to which a business needs like banking, Account Receivable, Account Payable etc. This software does not have fixed asset module to record the assets of business and its depreciation. Overall the program is well-organized and laid out making it easy to find what you are looking for and it’s a user friendly application.
