ZWCAD

ZWCAD is another interesting software I encountered after I spoke with my 3D design mentor who encouraged me to try out less-known solutions. I found ZWCAD’s biggest bonus to lie in its’ reliable nature as compared to some other CAD systems that might give some head aches during design process, that’s not the case here. Both 2D and 3D are easy to use and later visualization is greatly helpful.

Though ZWCAD’s overall functionality is great and you are not likely to encounter any trouble with glitches or quirks, I find it to be a little basic as there are not as many tools available as you’d probably like. It’s definitely useful for starting up but as you evolve and get more experienced, you find the software to limit your abilities a bit.

I recommend ZWCAD to anyone who is still starting up as both its’ 2D and 3D work well and give you great experience with such softwares. I am not sure it can be equally capable for more experienced users, but thanks to its’ affordable nature anyone can try it out. It doesn’t have a free trial though, but I don’t think it’s much of an issue – new experience is always worth a shot.
