Zoho Books is an affordable web-based accounting software like Quickbooks or Xero. It's pricing certainly makes it an attractive accounting solution for small businesses, professionals and startups. With Zoho Books, you will be able to create and send invoices, track expenses, sync bank accounts, create accounting reports and track inventory. All of this can be done using a computer or a mobile device. Setup: You sign up for Zoho online using your email address and once you are in your account, you will be greeted by a series of questions which will be setting up you account in the background. If you are not ready at the moment you can come back and add the information later on. Design: Zoho has a clutter free user interface and you navigate around using sidebar options. The dashboard offers you a view of the business by showing standard graphs you expect from any accounting software. Importing data: You can upload the data(items, contacts, transactions) in a CSV format. To eliminate any errors, you can download a sample file and make sure your data is in the matching format. If you have synced up your bank accounts and payment gateways, you can import transaction data with a click. Integrations: Integration is possible with all major players and local bank accounts. Some of the popular payment gateways which you can integrate include Authorize.Net, PayPal, 2Checkout and Stripe. Once integrated you can categorize your transactions for accounting. You also get integration with tax services track1099 and track1099.com Invoices: You can choose from a number of templates and upload your logo and send Invoices using one of the above gateways you have integrated. You can send unlimited invoices and can track payments which are due and overdue invoices. Recurring invoices are also supported. There are loads of other features like printing cheques, generate BAS report for Australians businesses, timesheets, users profiles etc.

For all the nice features it has, Zoho Books still does not have a Payroll feature. This may not be critical for an individual or a small business, however, for a company which is growing and adding more and more employees, having a Payroll option will be a bonus. It's getting very hard to find a free line whenever you call Zoho support. Your emails get replied within 24 hours but sometimes you need instant help. Apart from this, there is hardly anything not to like about Zoho Books.

Zoho Books may not be as popular as other online accounting software, however, it's feature can and ease of use can rival anyone of them. The pricing is very low if you compare with other products when using same features and unlimited access. If having a Payroll feature is essential for your business then go for Quickbooks, otherwise, Zoho Books is a very good option.
