Plugins of WordPress is the feature which put it at the #1 and it will be there for sure. Multiple themes available, easy media management and user management is there. From developer end I believe Plugins is one of the best features of WordPress; it allows you to extend WordPress, thousands of hooks available and you can create new. This is best one, suitable for small, medium and large business, it is one for all.

downside of Wordpress is that it upgrades its versions very frequently. there could be chances that new version does not support all the plugins you have used before. In that case you might face serious issues like some of the features in your site may not work or may not work properly. another thing is if you want major changes into your theme, it would be time consuming and some times take too much time to made those changes that developer can develop a new theme in equal time period.

WordPress is best CMS available in market and thus it covers 68% market shares in CMS industry. I love Simplicity and flexibility of WordPress. Wordpress site need not to be make CEO compatible, it has few inbuilt plugins for it which speedup the work and it is way cheaper. It is very easy to learn and use once you learn it. It has plenty of templates available and I am sure you will definately get at least one according to your needs and requirements.
