Wiziq gives teaches, and any other person actually, the opportunity to have a more classroom like experience when having an online class. The trial version is quite short but it will give you the opportunity to see if this is the tool that you are looking for. Once you start using it, you have a board, you can play videos, or maybe show a slide presentation. Everything you see on your board is being showed to your class at the same time. And you can also allow them to use the board or say something to the rest of the members.

I would say it runs a bit slow. When we were trying to log in it took us almost 20 minutes to have everybody there in the “chat room” ready to start. If a participant wants to say something they have to click “raise hand” so that the moderator or teacher gives them the opportunity to talk. So in that sense some people never really get to participate in the class.

It is a nice tool for teachers, if you pay the subscription you will get features that are not available in the trial and this is nice. The use of the board I think gives to this software a bonus because one of the things we, teachers, miss the most in an online course is the blackboard.
