What I like best about Webtrends is its simple analytics with the great ability to dive deeper into any piece of data and the ability to see correlations and causation for various metrics and KPIs. Another appealing feature, I think, is the focus on usability without losing any advanced functionality, it can easily be used by anyone dis respective of people's technical knowledge. The program is able to run a replay for new custom reports to get 3 months (maximum) of data back.

My general impression is that the tool is very clunky. Webtrends's analytic functions such as KPI/Campaign tracking still require heavy coding that in its turn requires a developer to perform.Additionally, I find Webtrends very costly and depending on the analytics that your company wants to perform, it seems that Webtrends also separates their tool into multi-packages raising the costs to the company to spend.

Our main goal with implementing this platform was understanding the visitors that come to our site. We wanted to be able to track how they use the different features and interact with different funnels. We've achieved our goal, however, we've experienced a lot of drawbacks with the product. The implementation took longer time than expected. Setup for funnels is limited, as Webtrends keeps a limit to how many funnels are allowed, if you want to create more than that then the customer has to buy a higher version package and it is not cheap. I would recommend take care about a strong look at the solutions from Google Analytics, Omniture, SEO Clarity, and the like, before choosing the product.
