WagePoint is an online payroll software as a service available to Canadian and American based businesses. I like any company that has a transparent pricing model from a leadership perspective. Meaning they include all core features with every package and you only pay for additional users. The costs is a $20 base fee per month, plus two bucks per employee for all features across the board. The software itself is very easy to use. The interface is very well setup and user friendly. Everything operates smoothly I believe they have some Ajax code going on with the sliders and buttons which is cool. It loads quickly though I've not built up a significantly large database yet to know for certain it remains fast performing with this but it's based in the cloud so the infrastructure is designed to make the ability to scale growth easy so it's nothing to worry about. There are several amazing features of this payroll software in my opinion; all online payroll softwares online actually. I just really like the time savings possible which are massive because of the elimination of almost all paper and spreadsheet work. And how it aligns your business with the local, provincial and national tax laws that's great. It does your direct deposit, T4's here in Canada and government remittances if you're working with these. That's a key feature which sets all of this up automatically when you add a new employee or contractor which is awesome. The integrations they have a very good as well. There are not dozens of them or anything there are just a few but they are spot on in terms of the essentials. You can integrate time tracking software such as their Track software, or Freshbooks and SwipeClock. With Deputy and T-Sheets coming soon it says currently in your account. Though it's funny they have Freshbooks inside your account available but it's not on their website integrations / add-ons page that I can see. It also integrates with Xero and Quickbooks which are pretty popular choices for accounting software. Xero is particularly easy if you're not an accountant and Quickbooks online is very easy to use. Though most professional hate it because it only does the basics which is fine for a lot of us who are doing accounting for clients just our small businesses for the most part day to day.

I don't see an electronic signature software integration available in your account which I think is important as a feature for any financially related business to have. Though it is available in the Freshbooks integration so you have access to it in your account one way or another. It's can be used for new hires, signing contracts, sending proposals and a lot more which can help your bottom line. It's also good for getting internal signatures while eliminating paper and printing costs.

Overall, WagePoint is a very easy to use payroll system with some cool integrations. I have been searching for the best available online payroll for Canadians and so far this takes the cake. It's extremely easy to use and setup your employees and business information including integrating your bank accounts. The work is basically all done for you once your int ital setup is complete. Afterwords it's a matter of adding or removing employees ongoing which just takes a few minutes so the maintenance involved is minimal for sure. The pricing is awesome and couldn't be any clearer. Twenty bucks as a base per month and two bucks per user. Fair enough. Considering the complexity it takes care of for you automatically this software is a huge time saver and makes your life so much easier. Highly recommended.
