Volusion

The Volusion dashboard is easy to navigate and allows you to quickly search for products to make edits on the go. All the essential features work as they should. Ability to add/upload images quickly and easily is appreciated. Volusion has decent SEO capabilities, also, there are a variety of marketing options like social, facebook store, sell on eBay, sell on Amazon, deal of the day, etc.

Though the platform does what it should, the essentials work, its features are still basic, and there is room for improvement. What disappoints me the most, is that there is no innovation in the product. I find they are quite out of touch with their users' feedback and, therefore, there has been little useful advances in functionality

I would say Volusion is a basic e-commerce platform which can certainly be much better. It is easy to set up, so for a beginner it is a great initial solution, but you will probably outgrow it quick enough. It has good functionality for basic needs, there are SEO features that make on-page optimization fairly quick and simple. The order processing and checkout are functional and we seldom experience any problems. What I dislike is that there is no innovation in the system and almost all Volusion websites look similar unless you spend quite a bit of money to have a company custom build a template. The cost of the system is pretty attractive, and with some of the back-end customization options, it is quite a solid system, especially for beginners.
