I've used this great free analytics software for several years and it's provided a great value without fail with alerts to my inbox week after week. It's very easy to setup especially if you're using Wordpress as a content management system. You can download and install their free plugin to insert the project ID and security codes they give you into it and that's it. Stats provide you with insight into several key areas such as incoming traffic, keyword analysis, paid traffic, keyword activity, exit links, downloads, visitor paths, returning visitors, page loads, geographic data, browser use, IP address and more. You can integrate Statcounter into over seventy different sources currently and they provide you step by step directions for each. You can add as many users as you want to easily as well.

There is a specific way to do things which may cause some confusion if you don't play around or expect things to be completely intuitive in your back-end. For example, you can't delete a project in the Organzize Projects tab. It's done when you click Edit per project. And I wish there was bulk deletion possible from whichever screen. And the monetization options available seem somewhat dated in my opinion. And it's not really a complaint more an observation really as I believe they could be making more passive income without the 1000 hits for $9.99 option at the very least. This is an old school method and terminology which just seems kind of spammy.

This is outstanding tracking software to be included in any web based project in my opinion. I like to cross-verify data to ensure accuracy and help gain a fresh perspective, to help identify trends and fill in the blanks between metrics in various programs so it's one of several I use on both of my projects. But I can't recommend it highly enough for a great way to obtain real-time data regarding key performance metrics.
