This company has been around for quite a while and has become well known for its quality data. I like that you can get a taste of the metrics simply by adding your URL on their Home page without even signing up. The amount of intelligence they share freely is good and I learned a few things prior to signing up. If you have an established presence online you will make great use of the data available. It can help you determine strengths and weaknesses in your approach particularly in your search engine optimization and pay per click advertising campaigns. The keyword research module is good it was able to work with our imported list of primary keywords very easily. The competition research is very good too. I learned about competitors which exist that we didn't know about previously. Although our product is very unique and only a couple have exactly the same product so far in our research which is good. But it's still good to know about these indirect competitors to keep an eye on them. Our product is unique in the market though it is not a blue ocean market, it is a very popular, thriving multi-billion dollar industry so in order to get our share you have to utilize any advantage possible and the tools in SpyFu make it easy to leverage new opportunities. Either to tweak our current campaigns or to optimize new campaigns according to new data learned in the tool. Particularly to do with our competitors and their campaigns. Our product may be unique but our target audience is the same as our competition and we can ethically use their campaigns to our advantage while SpyFu makes this happen. I like with the pay per click research you can do in SpyFu. The ability to improve your campaigns by searching through your competition's paid keywords and ad spend is incredibly powerful. You can really break down keywords to find the winners and losers. To be able to use campaigns that have been thoroughly tested and proven successful by your competition is one of the best ways to leverage this data. And would be worth the price of admission for at least a month. It's also cool that you can search your site and SpyFu will uncover keywords that are not currently optimized on your website. And it will share winning ad copy with you that you can use too so that's great.

I have learned of several methods to gather business intelligence in the last several weeks and many of which are free. It is hard to ignore amazing free value when you come by it. SpyFu fits into this category with their free testing but they don't have a free forever plan. Which is fine the pricing I find to be very fair and the features are very robust. I wish there was more than US/UK data available as we are in Canada.

SpyFu is a market and competitor research software as service and overall, I am excited to move forward with SpyFu for at least a month. We have just launched our new product line and are preparing for serious growth later this year having formed a terrific new partnership with a major department store which will be linked to our ecommerce site and also carry our product in over seventy department stores across the country within the next year and a half, or so. Though I have found incredible free business intelligence tools we will use such as MixPanel, Microsoft Power BI, WebCEO, SideKick, and others for various purposes, none of them offers the ability to gather actual ad copy and budget history for paid ads. To learn what has been working for others in our industry for a long time is a massive advantage that is so ridiculously valuable for the price they are asking that if you are serious about gaining an edge this is the way to go.
