Skype

Video calling is just a few clicks away with Skype ! I mainly use it for work and didn't have any problems whatsoever , no bugs and stuff . Decent rates , tons of emoticons , a bit messy UI , but hey , it's almost for free ! Works as it's supposed to so overall functionality is okay , running smooth on almost all devices and on my experience , a lot more stable than messenger .I would definitely recommend using it for friends and relatives !

A lot of people complain about how it freezes and all but i didn't encounter any of it . You can clean your temp files as well to improve performance and of course you have to back it up with a decent connection and a good pc/mobile phone , works better on DSL over wifi too . It's not always the software that is at fault you know so make sure you clear it up on your end .

Easy to use , low rates even on international calls , doesn't take much cpu and memory on my pc , does not update very often unlike messenger . You can disable it on the startup programs to avoid startup lag .Just need to fix a bit of the UI and it would be perfect ! Video and sound quality is superb ! Simply one of the best and most efficient chat platforms , truly an amazing program though it can always be improved .
