SBT Executive Series

Executive Series is a highly scalable and completely integrated accounting software solution with strong drill down capabilities. It is available both as browser based cloud accounting and as locally deployed client/server accounting system. I was a Quickbooks user for years, until I finally converted to a Mac. The interface is easy and far more elegant along with being mobile responsive and not over engineered.

My accountant seemed to think it wasn't as robust as QB but was definitely workable. I don't really have any complaints in this department. Nevertheless, the reporting could be improved, which I know they are working on. It runs extremely fast and is easy to use. The functions are intuitive and don't require extensive training to figure out.

It is great for small companies because it is cost-effective and easy to use. Its core function is limited to basic accounting - bank accounts, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and reporting. It does integrate with other specialized software for inventory and order management, CRM, etc, but large companies might prefer all-in-one software like Netsuite or SAP.
