SAP Business ByDesign

SAP Business ByDesign is Software as a Service (SaaS) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution for mid-sized companies. I like that SAP is compatible with Windows, Linux, Mac and any web browser. Their term: browser agnostic is a pretty cool term; wish I thought of it! It works for me very well.

OK, I understand that this space can be confusing. If a customer company doesn’t specifically communicate its needs, the service provider is at a loss at pricing - and knows that it is going down a never-ending tunnel to Hell! Been there, done that. ‘Nuff said. But seriously, when I clicked on SAP’s customer pricing, I entered my company name, industry, and number of employees. Result? I got this message: “We use your email and phone number to ask further questions or to verify your identity”. I felt like I was in a torture chamber, the bright lights were shining, and the apologetic torturer was saying,”Sign zee papers old man!”

If a company is so cryptic about their pricing, I have one sentence: “Run away. Run away fast!” How can you benefit here. It is not the point to start from when looking to build your business and cut down costs. It may be for established and financially powerful companies, but not for the common small or medium business.
