It's easy to use for the most part and has all of the functionality you could really need for a communicator such as sending files and capturing screen shots right in the tool, as well as group chatting for collaboration. Chat/Group chat UI is simple without too much wasted space. The new version introduces Video Multipoint Control Units (VMCUs) and Management capabilities (Video Manages). It is great in terms of scalability, stability and performance when it comes to handle audio-video conferences.

It does have that older look and feel, so the UI could definitely use a face lift. There are still bugs and glitches. Most of the people experience some crash and freezes. The bad connectivity is a big problem when it comes to video conference sessions, especially because its main element is the internet. Some customizations would be a plus if added.

Overall, Sametime is a good app from a reliable company. It may be better someday as the user of the application is now rising up. Its connectivity is occasionally the problem and the glitches in the application itself. It is a great app when it comes to its useful features.
