Sage 100 ERP

Sage 100 ERP is a great product for those companies with a high volume of data entry, especially if you have many users. I like that it is reliable, fast, and requires low-maintenance. The entry screens are fairly intuitive for the most part, all entries can be done from the keyboard. It also has good controls for when managers must do approval of entry batches. Using Sage 100 ERP significantly reduces the time on Project closing.

The pricing is not to my liking, I'm afraid. Licensing fees for multiple users can become costly. However you can have more users than licenses, but they can't all be using at the same time, so you can save a bit if you have shift workers. Batch processing makes some daily tasks very slow. The inability to change prior entries, i.e. you cannot delete entries once posted, is another issue.

We've used Sage 100 ERP for more than 5 years and can say that it's a very solid product. It has a very nice feature-set for its cost. There are modules available that have satisfied all our needs as our company has grown. Implementing Sage 100 provides workers and project managers the idea of how much they are spending on a specific line item and to make sure we are not going over-budget on any of the projects without knowing it beforehand. The product supports good business processes, accurate inventory counts and financial reporting, and the high level of customer service that we provide.
