Root SEO

I was interested in this company for our integrated digital marketing campaign with search engine optimization at the root of it. I had found them well ranked for link building on a popular online review site and wanted to learn why and what differentiated them from their competition. They claimed an ethical SEO process and to work with some very companies which helped their credibility initially.

I did not find them in the Better Business Bureau which would be the fastest way to facilitate trust externally of their website in my opinion. They also were not Google Partner certified when I checked and would help validate their credibility and expertise as well. I found it interesting that I was not able to utilize Woorank or SEOoceros to determine how they are doing with their own search engine optimization. It states various reasons that it could not complete in both instances which is not a negative in itself but made me curious as to whether this was healthy for SEO or not, and whether they were trying to hide something, or not. The footer of their website indicated 2007-2012 which in my experience usually means that's the last time it was updated so this didn't enhance my trust any especially as many SEO algorithms occurred around 2012 so perhaps their clients were hit hard by the changes and the simply didn't pick up the pieces and move forward. There were no testimonials on the site nor successful client case studies which would be helpful from a presales perspective. Their blog was abandoned in 2011 which pretty much clinched my assumption that they stopped doing SEO for businesses in 2011 or 2012 perhaps.

When I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and finally clicked on their contact form to get ahold of them for a quote it stated it was private only. And while I could of called the number given, it was after hours and I had some solid options to choose from for our project already. So we went in another direction. I'm not interested in creating unwarranted negativity about any company and this is not my intent. But with so many great competitors in their field this was my opinion based on the facts of my experience using the same presales criteria to benchmark all companies I looked into. And unfortunately I cannot recommend them currently.
