Nothing stood out as better than any other processor. There are an infinite number of companies who resell WorldPay offering the exact same service, portal, etc.

I was not in a position to argue with the boss when asked to move to Retriever, but I do wish I had been more assertive with him, as this was disastrous and completely out of our control. Once the rep took our previous processor's equipment we were hosed.

The sales rep dropped in one day and represented as working for BOTH Visa AND Mastercard (two competing companies...) and while I knew it would probably end badly, the owner liked him and asked me to change our processing services to whatever this guy was selling. That happened to be Retriever. I learned this at the time we signed the documents. The transfer from our current processor to Retriever was mishandled. He removed our equipment from our facility and shipped them on our behalf with cancellation letters which was a mistake that cost our company THOUSANDS. Multiple attempts for tracking numbers from the rep were ignored. We had luck eventually through an internal rep at Retriever who reached out to him. PCI compliance charges were being assessed after we took steps to show our compliance and paid for the compliance certification. An internal Retriever rep told me we would come to a resolution and be reimbursed for the non-return charges on the equipment to our old processor, but that never happened. Ultimately we signed with another processor, maintained our Retriever account until out of contract by a month and we were then met with "early termination" charges and another round of PCI compliance charges before we just signed the cancellation docs and cut ties. I have made mistakes and I always give others a chance to work things out before turning to social media or leaving a review. It's been made clear to me that we are not making any headway with Retriever, hence this review. I estimate the losses due to the sales rep's mishandling of our equipment and cancellation docs with the previous company to be roughly $7500. Bottom line: WorldPay FIS is an ENORMOUS processor who has many resale affiliates, such as Retriever. Some are great. Some are horrible. This isn't a good one. We make the change to FattMerchant/Stax. Also WorldPay, they offer the same features, but at a better price and the support is fantastic. That is my opinion, of course, but I have two companies to compare and they have been night and day in my experience. I also have used PayJunction for other business and found them to be everything I want, with great support (in the USA!), at a little higher cost. Ultimately migrated away from PJ because their integration with my ecommerce site was buggy at times (may have been more related to our site than PJ).
