REDCap

The survey interface is clear and easy to manage - an entry level user can manage around with the program very well. Online data collection is an ease and Csv export works fine. A very thankful feature for me has been the easy export of data to Excel sheets. Though REDCap is very user-friendly program with no overly complex functionality, it is still pleasure to work with even if you have background in coding and you know exactly what you are doing. It will still satisfy your needs!

REDCap works well and most of the times without errors, but there is something missing - perhaps it's the flat design and lack in customization, maybe it's the occasional lag or the lack in data correction. It does it's job and works well for most of researches with large data but I found it is not my go-to tool as from time to time I still find myself in a lag-loop or just realize I was going for a bit different angle with my data output.

REDCap is a wonderful program for institutions but I find it is a bit too narrow for my taste. For an entry level user who would like to analyze a large amount of data - REDCap will most definitely be the tool for you as it's interface is truly easy to work with. Like they say: it is a good hammer, but not THE hammer.
