Recurly Subscription Billing

We are considering this recurring payments platform for our forthcoming product line in the retail and ecommerce business. It uses it's own payment gateway with several merchant account third parties to integrate your subscriptions into. The setup is very easy compared with setting up most CMS based membership based recurring billing options and you can import your current subscribers which is cool. You can create upgrades and downgrades as well as create free trials and setup fees as well as add-ons to your current products or services. There is an ala carte subscription feature which allows you to have multiple subscriptions per account. You are able to enter new subscriptions and one time payments over the phone easily. You can setup custom transactional emails and email alerts for your services. There are a number of coupon and discount types. You are able to have one time purchases which may convert into subscriptions as upsells. Sales taxes are pre-calculated for a number of countries. They integrates digital billing with intelligent payment routing and a virtual terminal with load balancing. There is reporting available based on your subscription setup.

The integrations are limited to SalesForce and MailChimp currently. It would be great to have more email service provider and customer relationship management options certainly as these two are great, but must be a limiting factor in prospects decisions to a degree including us as we would have to switch those services in order to fully utilize their system otherwise.

This is a terrific subscription payment platform. It is highly sophisticated and while they use third party merchant accounts they have their own payment gateway which means you could theoretically transfer your member information to another platform much easier than their competition. Besides the lack of more email and CRM integrations this software as a service has a great feature set and will potentially be our choice as we scale up our business.
