What was the best part about using QuoteWerks?

It`s ideal for offers which have multiple parts and options available. You can manage all of your proposals over time which is great. This provides a history between you and your contact which can be useful when following up. It`s also easy to check out the analytics reporting to gain insights into what stage in your sales pipeline the prospect is at. QuoteWerks works as a standalone software just for quotes and proposals but there are several integrations available many of which greatly add value to this system. Including CRM integration which is a huge plus. There are quite a CRM`s available to integrate seamlessly including Google Contacts and tools. But there are about a dozen or so other CRM`s which you can sync up to. I found this pdf they offer to be very helpful for learning how each CRM integrates exactly: http://www.quotewerks.com/download/crmintegrationmatrix.pdf. Others may find the accounting or distributor integrations useful too. Especially the accounting integrations where you can easily connect completed deals online to your accounting software to save time. You can brand your quote templates. And it`s easy to add products to your quotes with their product wizard including a lot of options like measurements, weight, price, description and a customized description. The QuoteValet is a cool feature to know when your quotes are viewed and if they`re accepted. You can receive payment through your quotes too with the shopping cart integrated right into it. Including new orders and re-orders. This is a great feature in QuoteWerks I`ve not seen in most other similar software in their market space. I like that you can compare your pricing with other companies with the Consumer Prices feature. And that you can create and take recurring payments through their shopping cart as well as sync orders with FedEX or UPS. This is quite advanced functionality for a quote software.

What would you change about your experience with QuoteWerks?

QuoteWerks is database driven software and doesn`t just handle documents so it may seem tempting to use this software as a customer relationship management software but it isn`t a long term solution. The accounting integrations are definitely limited with two choices only with Quickbooks and Sage50. But I`ve learned of several other amazing accounting software recently and I`m sure this is a deterrent for companies using these as they would have to make a company wide accounting software change to integrate with QuoteWerks. Customizing your quote templates is a little challenging simply because of the amount of customization possible. Which is fine it`s not overly complicated but does take a little bit to get setup just right for your business. The company and software are definitely United States centric. For example, when I signed up it asked me to select my Canadian province but didn`t provide the list of them to choose from, with only the US States available to select. While the tax look up only works for US based companies.

Overall Feedback

QuoteWerks is a proposal and quote software which enables companies to make complete, professional quotes to use as part of their sales pipeline. I`ve never used a quote and proposal software with this many features and functionality. A couple of have come close but there are features which differentiate QuoteWerks from their competition such as the Consumer Price comparison feature, Procurement Tracking for parts availability, PartLocator for tracking parts through your distributors, upselling from your quote with related manufacturer products, taking credit card payments including recurring payments, create complex product options and a lot more making it a valuable tool. With the ability to integrate several CRM`s, a couple accounting software and distributor software. But the software has it`s core tax functionality based in the US so it is limited in this regard. Overall, though with a free trial to download and test their software I would highly recommend checking it out to learn if it is best for your company needs.
