What was the best part about using Quosal?

Quosal.com is an online quote and proposal software as a service that makes it easy for you to create, deliver and track them from your dashboard. Upon logging into my account for the first time I noticed the Home page offers an account overview at a glance. I find this feature to be valuable regardless of software type. After you click New Quote to get started Quosal leads you through a step by step wizard which helps to ensure all of the options you need are enabled. You can change the currency with international options available and utilize a quote audit history. The customer tab allows you to enter contacts manually. The Quote tab has a lot of options to customize the structure of your quote including location, expiration date and more. The Prepare Content tab allows you to create highly visual product order forms and customize these fully. This is very powerful functionality. The Review tab enables you to use a rich text editor to create the actual message to go with your quote. You can upload images and fully brand this aspect easily. You can sync your account to several CRM's which allows you to work with your current contact database and sales pipeline. And you can also integrate email accounts including SMPT and Exchange setups. There's a Quosal university feature that I appreciate to help speed your learning curve or get the most out of their software. And live chat with Quosal support available from right inside your account which is good. The Success List is a cool feature which provides you a stage view of where any particular quote is at including whether it's early or late, approved or not which helps you to determine your strategy for following up with optimal timing.

What would you change about your experience with Quosal?

There is a lag time when opening various functionality. To load the New Quote takes about ten to fifteen seconds. And when you save the account in any of the tabs it takes a good four to five seconds to complete. Preparing your final document preview takes almost a minute. Long enough that they give you a side scrolling 2D video game to play while you're waiting. This seems very slow compared to a lot of functionality I've used in many different SAAS based online. The software provides a lot of options which is great but all of the information seems a bit cluttered all in one place in the default setting. To be fair it's all very relevant and useful information and there is a show less/more tab which enables you to minimize some of the information in the top area. And you have the full screen option available too which solves the issue. Quosal just uses icons for quite a lot of the menus which I find to be a cumbersome. Not because it's difficult to manage learning a new set of a symbols to quickly maximize the efficiency of my workflow. But it's not the only software that I use and so the combination of having to learn simple sets of new symbols for each of them that adds up to a loss of time and overall hindrance to streamlined business processes. I don't see an option to import contacts into your account without having to integrate with a customer relationship management software. And the selection of integrations currently is limited to Autodesk, ConnectWise, Dynamics, Netsuite, QuotedCustomers and SalesForce. There are many other valuable integrations possible for Quosal and it would be nice to utilize these in the future. I received a quote using Quosal and approved it quickly and easily. But it did update this immediately when I refreshed my account. It had moved the Success List to 'First Visit' but did not register the approval instantly.

Overall Feedback

Quosal is a cool quote and proposal software with a lot of customization available per quote. The extensions for CRM software is rather limited but if you happen to use any of those it works with you're get the most out of your Quosal account as more of a sales tool mostly because it's not efficient to keep adding contacts manually. The paid plans require you call their sales team for a custom quote and this lack of transparency usually indicates a significant cost. There's a free trial available with no credit card required so you have no reason not to check it out to learn if it's the best fitting quote and proposal software for your business.
