Quizlet

Quizlet is a cool educational software available for free online and there is a premium upgrade available currently at fifteen bucks per year. The free plan is easy to sign up with Google or Facebook in addition to email so you can get going right away and their is full capabilities in your account. The paid plan enables teachers to upload your own photos and diagrams which is cool to make things more dynamic especially with topics which are helpful with visual association such as math, languages and biology but of course many more. You can also add customized audio which could be helpful if you have a native accent and you're teaching your language. And you can set up reminders in the premium plan which makes it more of a goal based, long term learning platform which is great. They also enable unlimited classes in your account with better support. For fifteen bucks per year that's outstanding value. You also have all of the advertising removed from the site once you upgrade which is probably best in a classroom learning environment with no influential third party content in any way. One of the coolest things is how the quiz sets have multiple ways to learn built into them. It's enjoyable moving from visual learning, to spelling and games for the same content. This is much more integrative way to learn and I commend the Quizlet team for implementing this as there a wide variety of ways to learn. Some of us are better at certain ways more than others but it's best to challenge new ways of learning as well as facilitate strengths with current abilities. Quizlet definitely does both and that's awesome. I am also impressed by the sheer amount of cool content available already inside your account to use. There are over five hundred possibilities for both sets and courses available in every search that I have done so far. That is amazing and perhaps largely due in part to their massive user base with over forty five million visitors to their site every month so it says which is huge traffic and a great way to build up user generated content. As you can create your or learning sets and courses very easily yourself on any educational topic too which is cool.

How can you possibly complain about something so valuable that is completely free. You really cannot and I am basically filling up this space with the prerequisite amount of words to fill the space. Perhaps it's worth mentioning that any sort of ads in the classroom is not a great idea. It distracts from the focus and learning but also influences minds in a way that may not be relevant to the topic at hand.

This is a really cool way get an education for free. I personally love using flashcards and there are several thousands of sets already to go in Quizlets. I also the games you can play matching terms with pictures which makes it fun to learn new languages. It's timed so you feel the heat and want to do your best. Yet there is no pressure really as it's a competition mostly against yourself even though there are leaderboard standings available for the entire set which is kind of fun. There are several hundred categories of education available to choose from as well. Everything from the arts to business and everything from religion and spirituality to science and medicine. There are also a good number of modern topics such as Apps, Video Games, Computing, Programming and more. But you can also get specialized topics like individual books such as Lord of The Flies for example and computer languages like Java. You can't recommend a platform software as a service any higher Quizlet in my opinion. It's right up there with Kahn Academy and Duolingo for amazing free educational resources empowering humanity in some pretty cool ways.
