If you are looking for a reasonable accounting software to organize all your finances and money in one place - then QuickBooks Desktop is the right choice to park your money. It helps you keep track of your money, do automatic tax evaluation and transact well with the bank. It has great analytic features and moreover it is fully compatible with Microsoft Excel in handling of reports. I especailly liked the ease of use and the functionality of the software.

The customer service at QuickBooks Desktop needs lot of improvement as I feel they are lacking in training of the product and explaining the features to the customers. Also as it is primarily an accounting software but most users lack basic understanding of accounting - so it would be a great idea to have an introductory accounting fundamentals training so that all users are on the same page. I also feel it would do better if some automation tasks are developed to reduce the manual intervention.

Our Organization uses QuickBooks Desktop to deal with the general accounting needs and we also specifically use its payroll functions as it permits the client to directly interact and handle these functions. I feel it is a wonderful software tool for both accounts receivable as well as accounts payable functions. If they can improve upon the customer service and also offer basic accounting training for the users that would be a shot in the arm.
