Quickbooks Enterprise

QuickBooks Enterprise is their current flagship accounting software which has been around since 2002. Though the company Intuit has been around since the 80's though and Quicken was their first accounting software, I believe. This software has been the authority in the accounting business software world and is used by millions of professionals. I am most certainly not an accounting professional though as a small business owner and partner in another start up with large growth potential we are currently surveying the field in order to prepare for the most valuable, sustainable approach and software for our particular needs. There are many different options in the field but a couple have caught my eye including Xero and Wave Accounting. QuickBooks Online is quite a different experience than the desktop version. From my point of view it contains everything a small business owner without an accounting background needs to complete these tasks in an organized and responsible way. Though I acknowledge it does not have nearly the configuration and customization requirements for a CPA or financial advisor. I like that you can manage the costs of your projects quite in detail by using phases and so on. While the Assemblies feature is a good time saver. Multi-user mode is a plus to have so overlapping changes in your account are voided or otherwise altered or missed in anyway and you entire team can have access which is good. The tracking and search capabilities are quite good in this latest version as well. I used this software several years ago and it is quite a lot faster and more user friendly than I recall since then. The search function is fast and you can track inventory, vendors, customers and more pretty easily so that's good too. You can control your pricing right from Quickbooks Enterprise making it more inline with your sales department which helps.

I like many others wish there was more congruity between the online cloud based Quickbooks Online version and the desktop cloud version because the accessibility of software in the cloud is awesome, making it much more convenient to work remotely. It is simply a means to more freedom being able to get work done on your tablet or laptop and nice to pass your accountant exactly what they need without having to set anything different up in your account. Though perhaps my reasoning otherwise is not the same as others; as I want my own accountant to have access to full functionality in my online account. So I can ensure the compatibility is seamless with his and he has everything he needs from my side, as well. The installation process takes quite a while. Only my digital audio workstation and Photoshop take this amount of time to install and load up initially, but it is not using large audio or video so that's not a major issue but allowed me enough time to write this while I was waiting for it. And to be honest the first trial download didn't install as it said it was a corrupted file and could not be extracted. While the second attempt seemed to install okay although it took about fifteen or almost twenty minutes on my iCore 5 laptop, and then automatically crashes when I click the 'Skip the trial / Buy now' pop-up which happens which you start the software. And it repeated this error. I could have chosen to repair the install or reinstall the software but I am not an accountant and simply cannot be bothered. There are other much more productive uses of my time and other programs which are simpler and reliable while accessible in the cloud based on my business accounting needs.

I appreciate that they have industry suited versions which is going to save you a lot of time adapting your workflow to your industry. There is a good range available and if you can get the software to work on your computer this would be great especially for retail based business, in my opinion.
